FOREVER CHRISTMAS
(Music: Taylor; Lyrics: Steph)
Christmas draws near, I've survived another year,
To live without dying is my goal,
I look in the mirror and my body shivers,
Endless fast living takes its toll.
Eternity is good so I wrote in my blood,
A contract for my soul,
Satan I give all, now and ever more,
To stop me getting old.
The crimson ink dripped, my bloody pen slipped,
I suddenly forgot how to spell,
The name of the dark lord was not what I scrawled,
And my soul did not go to hell.
A vision in red suddenly filled me with dread,
I summoned him and he came,
He stood straight and proud, he laughed out loud,
For Santa was his name.
He said, "You can go to hell, or ring my sleigh
bell,
There's nowhere else to run,
Come with me today and together we will sleigh,
'Tis the season to have fun!"
It will be forever Christmas, until the end of time,
Mistletoe and carols, too much food and wine,
It will be forever Christmas, oh what a joy,
Handing out the presents to every girl and boy.
I sold my soul so I would stop growing old,
I thought I was being clever,
To save me from the grave I became Santa's slave,
For now and forever.
Like Dorian Gray I have not aged a day,
Life is an endless Christmas cake,
But I find it hard to maintain this charade,
There's only so much joy I can take.
It will be forever Christmas, in my heart and soul,
I've given my life to Santa Claus to stop me growing old,
It will be forever Christmas, each and every day,
The sweet scent of summer seems so far away.
My fingers bleed from decking halls with holly,
Sleigh-bell tinnitus leaves me melancholy,
I look back on my life and see my folly,
I thought this was the season to be jolly.
I worked with the elves pulling toys from shelves,
All were happy and gay,
Like Christmas pudding, life was good in,
A sweet and sickly way.
Presents by the million, mince pies by the billion,
Children both good and bad,
Christmas all the time, I thought would be fine,
But it's slowly driving me mad.
It will be forever Christmas, until the end of time,
Mistletoe and carols, too much food and wine,
It will be forever Christmas, oh what a joy,
Handing out the presents to every girl and boy.
It will be forever Christmas, in my heart and soul,
I've given my life to Santa Claus to stop me growing old,
It will be forever Christmas, each and every day,
The sweet scent of summer seems so far away.
It will be forever Christmas, forever Christmas,
Forever Christmas, until the end of time.
